Scotland Dev Programme: Women's Assistant Coach

Scottish Hockey is the national governing body for hockey in Scotland, supporting the sport from grassroots to elite performance.

The Scotland Development Programme (SDP) is a key stage in the national player pathway, bridging the gap between the National Aspiring and Senior programmes. It identifies and develops the next generation of international players by providing athletes under 23 with high-quality training, competitive opportunities, and a clear route towards senior international hockey.

This is an exciting opportunity to coach within the SDP Women’s squad, working with talented athletes and an experienced support team. The programme culminates in the U21 EuroHockey Championships, where our aim is to be highly competitive in Europe’s top division and will also act as a pilot for future SDP delivery. The role is central to strengthening player technical skills and preparing athletes for senior international hockey.

This is not a full-time role, and time commitments will vary.

The schedule includes single day training sessions and multiday camps. The squad will consist of players up to approximately 23 years old, from which the U21 team will be selected. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the SDP Lead Coach, Junior and Senior National coaches and a talented support team, helping develop Scotland’s next generation of international hockey players.
