Langley Park School for Boys is an exceptional school that ensures excellent academic outcomes for our students. We are a large, inclusive, over-subscribed, 11-18 school with a co-educational Sixth Form. We consistently achieve high academic success, whilst maintaining a commitment to educating the ‘whole child’ through the promotion of sport and the arts as part of a well-rounded curriculum.

We are part of Impact Multi Academy Trust, and we work closely within the Trust with our other four secondary schools and our three primary schools.

We are looking to appoint a full time Cover Coach as soon as possible, this will be a fixed term position until September 2026.

The role of Cover Coach is two-fold:

1. Primarily based in the physical education department, assisting in the delivery of sports lessons and clubs, in addition to coaching at least one of the school’s highly successful sports teams.

2. Teach cover lessons across the school, in all subjects, when necessary.

What we are looking for:

· A talented and enthusiastic postgraduate to assist in the delivery of Cricket, Hockey, Rugby or Basketball

· Candidates must be an experienced, high-level player/coach of competitive Cricket, Rugby, Basketball or Hockey

· Additional expertise in Athletics, Football, Tennis, Netball or Strength and Conditioning is desirable

· Coaching qualification would be an advantage, but qualification by experience will be considered

· Commitment to extra-curricular sport and weekend fixtures is essential

· A full driving licence.

What we have to offer you:

· LPSB boasts an outstanding reputation for sporting success.

· State of the art building and facilities

· Committed and hardworking students

· Ongoing professional development and training

· A friendly and supportive working environment

· Opportunities for collaboration with other schools within our Trust

· Free access to a confidential 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provided through Health Assured

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all our staff.

We particularly welcome applicants from ethnic minority backgrounds as they are currently under-represented on our staff body.

We recognise the vital contribution that members of a diverse team make to our students’/pupils’ learning. The range of cultural experiences, differing viewpoints and role models this brings is essential in our Trust and we recognise the gap that would be left in our team offering without these.
