Team Bath: Assistant Coach (Hockey)
Team Bath, University of Bath BathHockey is one of our Student Performance Sports based at the Sports Training Village.
We pride ourselves on developing players to reach their full potential by offering a truly professional hockey pathway, with a fully committed interdisciplinary team working with players daily.
We are looking to employ a performance hockey coach who can work across both Women's and Men's programmes, providing technical, tactical and development feedback while leading coaching sessions with one of the performance squads.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced hockey coach to support the head coach with the successful development, delivery and management of the University of Bath performance hockey programme.
This is an exciting and dynamic environment for a coach, supported by committed student hockey players and an experienced IDT in a world-class setting.
Off-pitch, you will lead video analysis sessions with the players and attend weekly S&C sessions led by the IDT team.
About you
You will have
- coached in a performance environment and hold a suitable coaching qualification (EHB Level 2)
- a thorough understanding of the BUCS leagues
- an understanding of the demands and pressures of a full-time training programme in an educational establishment
- commitment to your own development and attendance at department CPD initiatives
- ability to work in a team and on your own
You should also be passionate about, and committed to, the development of the hockey performance programme, and strive for continuous improvement of the players and the team, leading to excellent performance.
Further information
This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week for 28 weeks per year.
You will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and occasional weekends as required by the demands of the programme.
