Club Coach W2 and M2

Team Bath Buccaneers Hockey Club is based at the University of Bath and plays in the Sports Training Village (STV) located in Claverton Down, Bath.

Team Bath Buccaneers is one of the largest hockey clubs in the country. The STV boasts impressive world-class sports facilities, with many gold medal Olympians training on-site. For hockey, we play on one water-based astro and a sand-dressed pitch on site.

Our teams play in very competitive leagues, and we are looking for 2 ambitious coaches to work with the club to develop players and teams to be the best they can be. You will have a clear coaching philosophy which can be articulated to the team you are coaching. The level you will be coaching is W2 and M2. We will also ask you to assist club coaches with CPD and guidance within your role.

We have an array of experienced players and students who play for the University in the BUCS Wednesday League alongside some incredibly talented junior players from local schools and colleges. Our talent pool extends to U16 and U18 Nags players. 

Therefore, the successful candidate needs to be able to demonstrate high-level coaching in a performance environment whilst understanding the needs and expectations of a club.

The role:

·       Women W2 and Men M2 performance/club coaching role

·       Working closely with the Head Coach W1 and M1 

·       Working closely with all coaches to identify and promote potential players into higher squads in the club

·       Support coaches within the club with CPD and session planning

We will consider a player-coach arrangement for applicants as well as a sideline coach.
