First Aid
First aid is a vital part of creating a safe and responsive environment for everyone involved in hockey. Whether it's during training, matches, or events, having the right knowledge, equipment, and procedures in place ensures that injuries and emergencies can be managed quickly and effectively.
This page outlines the key information clubs and organisers need to know, including the importance of first aid, what is required, and where to source appropriate supplies.
-
Each club must assess its own First Aid needs.
England Hockey recommends a minimum;- One first aid trained individual per match or training session.
Having qualified First Aiders ensures quick, effective responses in emergencies, safeguarding the wellbeing of all participants. Key considerations include the playing location, provision by the facility, home and away fixtures, and how many members need training.
