Henry Croft made his Great Britain debut against Ireland on 1 June 2024, stealing the show with a spectacular goal on his first appearance that led directly to his selection for the GB centralised programme, having progressed through the England U18 and GB U23 age groups while working as an asphalt salesman.
He went on to make his senior England debut during the 2024-25 FIH Pro League, playing three of the matches in the India leg of the tournament.
Croft was awarded a central contract in the Great Britain men's programme in December 2024 as the set-up began building towards LA 2028, having combined unpaid trialling at Bisham Abbey with his day job in the concrete industry. He left Beeston for Old Georgians ahead of the 2025-26 season, winning the Premier Division title with his new club.
