Masters - Male playing hockey at England Hockey Championships

COVID-19 update

The championships programme for the 2020/21 season has unfortunately been disrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is possible that further disruption could mean more significant changes or cancellation to some of, or, all of the Championships.
We will continue to relate to England Hockey's Return to Play guidance to determine when exactly competitive hockey can be played.

About the Championships

The County Championships were the first national domestic hockey competitions. Over the years their importance was diminished  as club hockey rose to the fore. A men's competition still continues but the women’s competition ended in 2009. The Men's competition is split into different Divisions and played over two weekends in May.

Regional Tournaments are held for Representative Masters teams at the following age groups

  • Mens & Womens - O35s O40s, O45s, O50s, O55s, O60s
  • Mens -  O65s, O70s

The tournaments are held over a number of weekends in April, May and June.
