Stories from our current Back to Hockey players on why they returned and how they got on.

It’s back! Our national Back to Hockey Campaign 2017 is running between 8th May to 18th June.

This year, our first campaign since that fantastic night in Rio, is even bigger and better than before as more people than ever have wanted to pick up a stick.

What is Back to Hockey

Back to Hockey sessions are fun, sociable and informal and aimed at people who either haven’t played hockey for a number of years or who are looking to play for the first time. Don’t worry if you’re nervous or don’t remember any rules our Back to Hockey coaches will gentle guide you through this series of fun and friendly sessions. We promise it’s nothing like the schools days of muddy pitches and standing around waiting for a touch of the ball!

Want to find your nearest Back to Hockey session

Clubs, it's not to late to be involved!

-  Marketing materials
-  Guidance to maximise the promotion of your sessions
-  Tips on how to create a great player experience
-  Ideas for you coaches and session plans
-  Advice on retaining players after Back to Hockey
-  Plus much more!

Don’t take our word for how great Back to Hockey can be for your club, here are some of the benefits you have told us about:

• More Club Players – 40 players have started to play regularly again in just 18 months. Prescot HC
• More Casual Players – We can target players who just want to play for fun and don’t want to commit to a club environment. Belper HC
• Additional Income – The pitch is already booked for other teams & we are volunteers so all subs go straight into the clubs funds. Wimbledon HC
• Extra Publicity – It’s an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of our family club in the local area. Gillingham Anchorians HC
• New Volunteers – Around a dozen members have supported the sessions, which is great as it also helps to promote the social side. Gillingham Anchorians HC
• Feel Good Factor - This group of ladies have brought enthusiasm to our ladies section that, quite honestly, has turned it around. Keynsham HC
