Player Profile
Darcy was one of eight players added to the women's senior programme in January 2022, having impressed during the Talent Confirmation process. She progressed through the junior England age-group set-up, representing the U16 team and winning bronze with the U18s at the 2018 EuroHockey Youth Championships, and was selected for the England U21 squad for the 2021 Junior World Cup before it was postponed due to Covid.
She made her senior international debut for England against Argentina in February 2022 — a call-up that came after an injury elevated her from travelling reserve to the squad proper — before playing in that summer's World Cup in the Netherlands and Spain.
Darcy also spent a year playing at Duke University in the USA. Off the pitch, she has become a prominent advocate for diversity and equality in both sport and society, co-founding the Beyond Your Game programme, and continues to represent both England and Great Britain from her club, Surbiton.
