Player Profile
It can be easy to forget that Izzy is still so young, such is the way she has adapted to international hockey and the maturity she shows each time she plays. A product of Surbiton and Cranleigh School, with more than 50 England U16 and U18 appearances to her name, her rise to the top has certainly been rapid.
She scored a memorable first goal for GB against Germany in the FIH Pro League, before making her England debut at the 2019 EuroHockey Championships, finding the target against Belarus. Izzy then scored a solo wonder goal to help Great Britain qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, before featuring prominently as she helped them win a bronze medal at the Games.
She added to that with Commonwealth Games gold with England at Birmingham 2022, netting the first successful penalty stroke in a tense semi-final shoot-out against New Zealand along the way. She went on to represent Great Britain at the Paris 2024 Olympics and has continued to be one of the squad's most reliable finishers through the current cycle from her club, Surbiton.
