Alongside Lily Owsley, Ellie is regarded as one of the fastest players in the squad and can often be found surging past defenders on the international scene.

She did this time and time again at the Tokyo Olympics as she produced several stunning performances to help Great Britain win gold, scoring three goals and playing a key role in several others too. In the latter stages of the tournament, she also played through a broken nose to help the team win a special bronze medal.

That tournament completed the full list of major tournaments for Ellie, having previously appeared at a World Cup, Commonwealth Games and EuroHockey Championships.

The summer of 2022 was memorable for a fantastic Commonwealth Games gold medal, as well as the World Cup in Netherlands & Spain.

A talented track and field athlete in her youth, Ellie represented Wales as a 400m sprinter but it’s hockey where her heart has always belonged, working her way up through the junior system before making her international debut in early 2017.
