Holly made her debut for Great Britain in 2019 and played a further game in 2020, before being named in the GB training squad for 2022 that February — the same month she earned the full-time programme place that saw her selected for her first England games, against Argentina in the FIH Hockey Pro League.
Her breakthrough came that summer at Birmingham 2022: playing at her home University of Birmingham, she scored the opening goal in England's historic 2-1 Commonwealth Games final win over Australia to seal a first-ever gold, and also played in that summer's World Cup.
She has continued to add to her cap tally through the Pro League seasons since.
