Since earning a first senior call up for the 2018 Champions Trophy, Tess has not only gone on to establish herself as a regular for the England and GB teams but also as one of the most exciting young talents in world hockey.

Having progressed from the England U16s to the U21s within just two years – winning a bronze with the latter at the 2017 Junior Euros – and then to the seniors a year later, it certainly was a whirlwind for the Durham University student. Tess has taken it all in her stride and continues to put in impressive performance after impressive performance on the biggest stage.

Skilful in possession, physical, possessing relentless energy and with a keen eye for goal, it’s easy to see why the former Cambridge City player is so highly rated. Unfortunately a serious knee injury saw her miss the Tokyo 2020 Olympics but she came back stronger than ever in 2022, scoring in the final to win Commonwealth Games gold in Birmingham.

That same summer she also played on home soil in the EuroHockey qualifiers in Durham, as well as the World Cup in Netherlands & Spain.
