Alex became the first player — male or female — born after 2000 to represent Great Britain when she made her senior international debut in 2019.
She was a reserve for England at the 2021 EuroHockey Championships, before being confirmed in the GB training squad in February 2022 and earning her first England caps during that 2021–22 FIH Pro League. In the summer of 2022 she was a reserve for both England's World Cup and Commonwealth Games squads.
In December 2022 she was selected for the tour of Argentina, playing three of four matches, and has continued to add to her caps through the 2023 and 2024 Pro League seasons as part of the England midfield pool.
