By the age of 24, Lily had amassed more than 150 international appearances, won Olympic and European golds, and been named the FIH Rising Star of 2016. A natural athlete and former sprinter, she uses her incredible pace to run rings around defenders — epitomised by her solo goal against Belgium in the 2019 FIH Hockey Pro League — and is one of her country's most influential and exciting stars.
She added to her medal collection with an influential role as Great Britain won bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, a feat she said meant more to her than the Olympic gold five years before, because of the journey the squad had been on since then.
A graduate of the University of Birmingham, Lily added a Commonwealth Games gold with England at Birmingham 2022, scoring on the pitch at her alma mater. She went on to represent Great Britain at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where the team reached the quarter-finals, and reached the milestone of 150 England caps during the London leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League in the build-up to the 2026 World Cup, where she is set to appear at her fourth World Cup finals.
Away from the hockey pitch, Lily is a massive Bristol City fan, making the trip to Ashton Gate as often as she can.
